India had failed me when I was going for an interview from Lucknow to New Delhi , Gomti Express for 8-9 hours journey, due to masses of humanity,we must respect humanity the way they are! I could not visit the bathroom of the bogey to urinate.

India failed me, for working, in Lucknow University,Self Financed Course-SFC-IDS+IMS for 12 years, in the MBA-Marketing Programme, as Co-ordinator cum Lecturer, the position, a full time one, that could not be made permanent and I had to leave it with tears in my eyes to AMITY UNIVERSITY,UTTAR PRADESH, LUCKNOW CAMPUS-Pvt.University had taken advantage of a trained guy whose core competance was learnt at a non profitable state level University.Here was a salary scale.In with Lucknow University there was no salary scale we got a contract at Rs.11,000/- per month now that contract in 2009 is Rs.20,000/- per month no DA,No HRA,No BONUS,No LTA,No Tours & Military Camps which AMITY gave us to faculty and students.No way my 3 years AMITY Experience has put me ahead of LU with HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW,SLOAN MANAGEMENT REVIEW ,ECONOMIST,FORTUNE,TIME,BUSINESS WEEK.
However,there was less money but more freedom to perform at Lucknow University.I regularly conducted GBQ GLOBAL BUSINESS QUIZ Sessions 1995 onwards when no laptops,no quiz books were available.We had Business World,Bussiness Today,Business India,Economic Times,Dossier on Fridays,Brand Quity on Wednesday,Business Standard,N.Delhi,STRATEGIST on Tuesdays with Case Studies.We made our own cases through ET,BS,BW,BI etc.We were only 3-5 Resource Persons who Managed our MBA-Marketing Programme.We could bring in at will from IIM Lucknow-1-Late Prof.JS Rao,Finance,2-Prof.V.Natrajan Finance,Adjunct Faculty in Finance at University of Wharton,Prof.MJ Akbar,Strategic Mgt.,Prof.Krishna Kumar,Strategic Mgt. now Director,IIM,Kozikhode,Prof.Malay Bhattacharya,Operations Research,Prof.Dilip Bandopadhyaya,MIS,Prof.Pingali Venugopal,MR & Services Marketing,XLRI,Jamshedpur,Prof.Manavendra Adhikari,Manegerial Economics,Macro-Economics,Business Environment-Dean,FMS-Delhi University,Prof.Rajiv Srivastava,Production and Operation Mgt.IIM-L etc.This was not done in AMITY.Diversity comes at a price.Airfares Rs.1000/- per hour were needed and my teacher Prof.AK Sengupta-Director of the Prg. and me the Co-ordinator cum Lecturer could get it on time first time every time within the span of Vice Chancellorship of Prof M.S SODHA.
Inspite of all this, with change of VC,Govt.and academic environment of Lucknow University and IIM Lucknow I did not loose my Academic Focus.For Men may come and men may go I go on forever to provide education free to all through the internet.

Here in India, we open the NEW-YEAR-2009, with the Economy, like the Global Economy,now, in a Great Depression.Although,many new interim Budgets are passed out by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India and the word Planning,Planned Economy started by USSR Lenin and Stalin followed by Nehru,Krushchev,Tito,Nasser,Bandernaike which in most Nations are long dead and burried under the coffin of Market Capitalism Welfare State,in India, it is long dying,since 1991 Economic Reforms of LPG(Liberalization,Privatization&Capitalization) and FFIIIT (Fiscal,Financial,Infrastructure,Industrial,International Business and Trade Sector Reforms) MODEL a prolonged death in India and State has badly failed, the Markets, in its inefficiencies and ineffectiveness.Productivity and Market Signals are natural corolary in a market dominated economy.

My last few visits 27 KM across my Home in Lucknow to Dewa Shareef,Dewa Barabanki District made me realise that Schools from the Government and the Private initiatives have come up in Barethi,a village on the route.Lots of irrigation water is provided throught the route by the Sharda Canal.This made me realise why development in India is so slow?I have been going through this route through the last 22 years to have Darshan/Visit of the pious Sufi Saint,Haji WARIS ALI SHAH.I have dedicated my first published book-BUSINESS POLICY AND STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT- TEXT AND CASES-2008-AURNOB ROY to him in print.

Why 90% of Indians in Rural Areas and 70% of Indians in Urban Areas defacate in the open fields?Why do we have 150 INDIAN MULTINATIONALS?Why have our percentage of World trade fallen from 4% in 1951-52 to little over 1% now(Bimal Jalan-2008).Why is our security so loose that am caught on the streets of Lucknow going side by side the entrouge of Sonia Gandhi the VVIP and being abused by the police who accuses me of being a terrorist,a muslim and holds me for an hour for not paying him the fine of Rs.1800/- which I did not do and let him have my license and registration of Kinetic Nova and with 15 years of teach experience at the MBA level got it done through the court of law with the help of my ex-student working in DSP Meryill Lynch,ABHISHEK AGARWAL,for only Rs.200/-.At least Law is there in India but only after 2 months did I get back my street driving essentials,which is how systems in India run.

On a brighter note our Young Cricket Commander's won the T20 Cup in South Africa beating Pakistan in the last over by a Whisker,a Team Effort by MS Dhoni,Rohit Sharma,Virender Sehwag,Joginder Singh,Sree Santh,Yusouf and Irfaan Pathan and company.Let's hope INDIA WINS the T20 WORLD CUP again to be played in 2009 Summers in UK.The Retirement of Sourav Ganguly and Anil Kumble was a good decision especially when at over 35 years to play modern day Base-Ball type cricket game either T20,T50-ODI or 5 Day Test matches is itself a challenge.Tendulkar with his 41 Test 100 Sehwag and Yuvraj led by DHONI led the way to a TEST SERIES WIN VS ENGLAND after getting them withe washed by 5-0 in One Day Cricket.That after Terrorism attack on Mumbai the Englishmen under KP Kevin Peterson came back to India to Play Test cricket in itself is a great VICTORY of SPORTSMANSHIP.

Lets hope the NEW YEAR 2009 will really be HAPPY INDEED.
